Fifty years of versatile experience in the oil and gas industry as a Petroleum/Geological Engineer, Energy Banker, Marketer and Risk Manager with demonstrated expertise in evaluating oil & gas producing properties and drilling prospects from a geologic, reservoir engineering and economic standpoint. He started Cane River Resources in 2001 to identify and generate investment opportunities in the oil & gas industry in the Texas/Louisiana Gulf Coast and, more recently, in the Permian Basin.

He started his career as a summer roughneck with Rowan Drilling Company in South Louisiana, followed by working as an Engineer Trainee for Northern Natural Gas in the Texas Panhandle. Upon graduation from Louisiana State University with a B.S. degree in Petroleum Engineering, he worked for Pan American Petroleum Corp. (Amoco), Louisiana Land and Exploration Co., Continental Illinois National Bank, and Capital National Bank where he served as Senior Vice President and Manager of the Energy Department. That was followed by working for two Houston independents – Partners Oil Co. and Seneca Resources Corp. After 12 years with Seneca, he left to join a new petrophysical service company – NuTech Energy Alliance, which capitalized on the use of synthetic MRI technology to identify bypassed oil & gas zones, where he was one of the original four partners of the company. He left NuTech in 2001 to form Cane River Resources, Inc.

He is a Registered Professional Engineer in the state of Texas and a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, Houston Geological Society, and Society of Petroleum Evaluation Engineers, where he served as President.
